National Curriculum 2014

From September 2014 we are using the new national curriculum in years 1-6. The link is available below if you would like to see more detailed information of year group content in all the subjects being taught. We also build in our own themes/topics in addition to the statutory national curriculum that we feel are relevant and meaningful to our pupils. These may change in response to current events. Examples include: personal, social, and health education; citizenship; work linked to our school values; relationships; and diversity. Additional enrichment events may include educational visits linked to topics. This information is added to the curriculum maps. A termly curriculum map for each class can be seen on the learning-curriculum menu tab. You then need to go to Foundation Stage, KS1 or KS2 to open up the curriculum overview.

In addition to teaching the national curriculum there is also a legal requirement to teach Religious Education. We follow the Sheffield agreed syllabus for Religious Education. If you require more information on this or would like to view this document, please ask Rachel Edwards (Headteacher).
